This is a very nice and handy magnifier, it's bright LED light produces more than enough light to perform any type of inspection or viewing of items in low light conditions. The LED light conveniently turns on when the lens is completely pulled out (there is a firm "click" at full extension), or you can use it without the light by not completely sliding it out. It's "doublet type" glass lens gives you a crystal clear, distortion free image. It's handy size makes it perfect to carry in your pocket, and in its closed position the lens is completely protected.
 This magnifier requires 3 "LR1130" button style batteries to operate the lights. (Batteries are included) The LED light is very economical to use, it consumes very little power, so the batteries will last for quite some time.
 This magnifier is suitable for many different applications, but its especially useful for close up inspection of various materials, such as stones, gems, stamps, coins and more. Can also be used for watch repair, craft-works, inspecting antique markings and reading very fine print.
