Seller's Description
A 4 x 6 inch photo reproduction, copyright 1968 by Jack Coffrin, Miles City, Montana. Card #D-15295. In clean and glossy condition and showing virtually no wear or tear! The backside relates:
N Bar Crossing, Powder River - 1886: "The old N Bar Ranch with its red scoria roofs was a welcome sight to many a tired cow-puncher who rode with a trail herd from Texas to Montana. Photographer L.A. Huffman caught this picture in the early morning light showing the old ranch buildings, the last of the herd pouring into the river, cattle swimming in the center, and the point and most of the herd having already come out on the near shore." The hand colored photograph made from the original old glass negative is on display at Coffrin's Old West Photo Gallery in Miles City, Montana.
