1964 Ballantine #U6018 - "Davy" - Edgar Pangborn

Described as "one of the ten best science fiction novels of the year." (You can find the other nine in our other listings) Davy is many things to many people. Six endorsements are on the back cover, but the South Bend Tribune's really caught my eye.... maybe it will yours, too:

"...so unusual as to make it both refreshing and thought-provoking. The most forceful impression one has is the similarity between 'Davy' and 'Tom Jones'. Davy is as earthy and appealing as Tom, and as full of hell and fun. These 266 pages are moderately and evenly toned with a cover that is clean and without tears or creases. All pages are tight to the spine with no dog-ears, writing, or markings on the pages that I can see.
