Seller's Description
Near mint state! Sharp edges and clean, with only traces of corner wear on the right. No writing or mailing. Photo by Paul M. Penney. Published by the Wonday Film Service. Image #115 in a series. Card #13789-B. The back of this card relates that:
"the French and Indian War began here in 1754 with Washington's first major battle. The cabin seen, within the Fort, with its roof covered with animal skins, was used as a storage place for ammunition and supplies. The original Fort was burned by the enemy and rebuilt in 1954 on the exact outlines of the original Fort."
