A mint-state Lusterchrome, published by L & M News Co., and photoed by Travel Information Div. Card #K-101776 says:
"Built in 1767, Tryon Palace was recognized as one of the finest buildings in Colonial America. It was the residence of royal governors William Tryon and Joseph Martin. Later this building became the first state capitol. Restoration was completed in 1959 at an approximate cost of $3,000,000.00."
