Seller's Description
A Curteichcolor card, #9DK-282, from Thompson's Community Service, Paris, Tennessee. This mint state card tells us:
"The State Flag was designed by LeRoy Reeves, of the Third Regiment, Tennessee Infantry, who made the following explanation of his design....'The three stars of pure white, representing the three grand divisions of the state are bound together by the endless circle of the blue field, the symbol being three bound together in one...an indissolube trinity.' The flag was adopted as the official flag of the State of Tennessee by an Act of the Legislature passed in 1905."
