Seller's Description
A Mel Norst photo and Country Studio of Witmer distribution. Near-mint, with only a hint of corner wear, the back of this standard-sized postcard tells us:
"This Protestant Monastic Community of the German Seventh Day Baptists was founded by Conrad Beissel in 1732. Erected between 1735 and 1749, the long building, Saron (Sister's House) and, Saal (Chapel) have been restored by Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. Spinning is one of the crafts demonstrated at this Cultural Center."
