Seller's Description
This is a Zeal Wright photo, #ZW-15 and card #5459-C from Wright Studio and Camera Shop. Unused and in mint condition the reverse tells us:
"The present executive mansion, designed by George I. Barnett, was built in 1871. It is a three-story mansard roofed structure of French-Italian style, with ornate iron grill work. Its massive columns of Missouri red granite were donated by Governor B. Gratz Brown (1871-1873), who quarried them from his mines in Iron County. The dome of the State Capitol looms in the background."
