1958 Brooke Bond & CO Ltd British Wild Life Card # 19 of 50 The Grey Squirrel

For sale is a 1958 Brooke Bond & CO Ltd., British Wild Life, 1st print run, Card # 19 of 50, featuring “The Grey Squirrel” in Poor (1) condition.

The following discrepancies are noted:  Corners are dinged; Chipping / notches along borders; Borders are off-white due to age / handling; Moderate surface wear, light scratches; Blue ink stains on front and backside of card (most likely from moisture at some point causing the blue print to run; Card is off-center.

Brooke Bond is a British tea company, and the card listed is commonly referred to as a “tea card.”  Card measurements are commensurate with early tobacco cards more specifically the T206 series.

1^st Printing: Brooke Bond & Co. Ltd.

2^nd Printing: Brooke Bond (Great Britain) Ltd.

3^rd Printing: Brooke Bond Tea Ltd.
