Seller's Description
A smaller version of the following listing, but reading the same. A near mint Dexter Press printing, #DT-432-B, showing no writing or mailing, creases, tears or dirt. The back tells us:
"Sea Stars, commonly called Starfish, are found on various sea coasts. There are many varieties. This one is the most common. Since they are so destructive to oysters, enormous quantities of them are destroyed by fishermen."
The verse reads:
"Have you seen a starfish Lying on the sand, And as you held him by his leg He left it in your hand?
He will hardly miss it, For you know what he will do, He'll grow a new one in the place Of the one he left for you.
But how he loves his oysters! To him they are the best, He wraps himself about them And smothers them to death.
There he sits and has a feast On food fit for a king, He doesn't have to worry Or think about a thing."
