1946 Repubblica Italiana, Lire 1.000 grande lettera M del 12-07-1946, prima banconota della Repubblica. In alto stemma sabaudo coronato e sorretto da due figure alate, a sinistra grande M con putti e figura alata. Al retro in alto uomo barbuto che rappresenta il "Credito" che regge una cornucopia, a sinistra allegoria dell'industria e a destra figura rappresentante il "Commercio", nell'ovale destro testa dell'Italia turrita. Filigrana nell'ovale testa dell'Italia turrita con stella e verticalmente nei bordi BANCA D'ITALIA e LIRE 1.000. Contrassegno Medusa e monogramma BI. Banconota in qualità BB. Riferimento BI 51C del Catalogo Gigante, Euro 250,00.

On top Savoy coat of arms crowned and supported by two winged figures, on the left large M with cherubs and winged figure. On the reverse top bearded man representing "Credit" holding a cornucopia, on the left allegory of industry and on the right figure representing " Trade", in the right oval head of Italy turreted. Watermark in the oval head of turreted Italy with star and vertically in the borders BANCA D'ITALIA and LIRE 1,000. Medusa mark and monogram BI. Banknote quality BB.
