Seller's Description
Image #1549 from Sanborn Souvenir Co., Denver. Card #OA5160-N.
Estimated to "weigh 12,000 tons", it is the "largest balanced rock in the World." Messaged and mailed "free" by the U.S. Navy. The card back tells us the weight is on a point only three feet thick and the rock is 85 feet high. Also, "it stands on the brink of a cliff down which some day it will plunge, as the soft base on which it rests is disintegrating." I'm told it is still standing, after 60 years.
Extremely clean! No tears. Light corner wear and one small crease on the far upper-left corner.
