Seller's Description
In full mint condition, with no toning of this moonlight image, #N-487. No writing or mailing and sharp edges and corners all around. The back of the card, #E-5152, tells us:
"built by the Tennessee Valley Authority and located on the Hiwassee River in Western North Carolina. The lake covers 6,280 acres and the dam itself is 1,287 feet long and 307 feet high, and its reservoir area reaches 22 miles upstream to the town of Murphy, N.C. Closure of the dam was effected and storage of water begun in February, 1940."
