Grounds cover eighty acres, including public park, playgrounds, tennis courts, wading pool and athletic stadium. Building contains play court, museum, library, laboratories, shops, gymnasium, auditorium and sixty-four class rooms. School supported by joint use of endowment funds from estate of Judge John Handley and city and state revenue. Due to Judge Handley, Winchester can well boast of having one of the finest schools in Virginia."
