Seller's Description
to find out what are the
best Euro Board Games to buy now !!!
In 1920 Wall Street, a card game for 2 to 5 players, each player tries to collect shares from four different companies (corn, cotton, steel and oil), sell them if they need money, and influence the value of the different companies in the stock market. They earn points for making the market fluctuate and for the shares they collect — if they reach the minimum quantity of each kind!
Everything with the background of the Wall Street Bombing that occurred in 1920 at the Financial District, in Manhattan, will trigger the end of the game and make some changes on the way it is scored. These changes are affected by the way players discard their cards during the game.
In 1923 the bootlegger Owney Madden acquired an establishment in Harlem, New York, and named it the "Cotton Club". His idea was to use it as a cover to sell alcohol during Prohibition, but the place grew in popularity, and talented artists such as Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Ethel Waters, and Cab Calloway turned it into a jazz mecca.
In 1923 Cotton Club, you will oversee a club during the complex times of Prohibition. To smuggle in alcohol, you will have to look for partners in the criminal world and invest money to hire artists and improve your club. All to attract the most important and influential celebrities of the era...
1930 is a game set in the early stages of aviation. The players take on the roles of aviation investors, promoters, and presidents with the general objective of making money. A player's wealth is accumulated mainly through owning stock tokens in the ten airlines included in the game. Stock tokens make money in two ways; they can provide ready cash via dividend payments paid during the income action, and they can increase in value over the course of the game.
The player with the most assets in cash and stock at the end of the game wins.
In 1987 Channel Tunnel, you get to put yourself in command of a team of builders from Britain or France to unite the two countries under the sea! For centuries, the relationship between Britain and France has been marked by wars and rivalries, but also by mutual alliances. Both societies have a markedly different conception of Europe, but an intense commercial relationship that allowed them to work together in a common interest: the construction of the Channel Tunnel.
In this competitive two-player game, you need to lead your team of workers, develop technology, and seek funding to bring the tunnel boring machine to the meeting point at the heart of this epic engineering feat. When the center of the tunnel length is reached, players earn points based on how far have they developed their technology tracks, which cards they have, and whether they haven't deviated with their machines too much.
When taking an action during the game, players play part of their tower of colored discs to perform it. This action won't be available for the rest of the round unless someone plays a taller tower (with more discs) on it. As soon as both players pass, return the discs to the bag, then start a new round.
The time goes by, but the big yearly events are well remembered.
Will you be part of them and write your name in the history???
The only way to find out is to get all 4 games TODAY!!!
