"I, George William Dover, of Cranston, in the county of Providence, State of Rhode Island, United States of America, Manufacturer, do hereby declare the nature of this invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement: My invention relates to scarf-pins, and has for its object in addition to the ends commonly sought by such devices a method of uniting the pin stem with the head of the scarf-pin without the use of solder..."
