Patent No. 9553 A.D.1895 Certain Improvements in Machinery for Feeding or Splacing or Reinforcing Thread to a Knitting Machine

"I, Louis Napoleon Devon Williams of 2079 East Cumberland Street in the City of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, United States of American, Manufacturer of Knitting Machines, do hereby declare the nature of this invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement: The object of my invention is to so construct an extra thread feeding device for knitting machines so that without the necessity of carrying the bobbin around with the guide whereby the threads are fed to the needles the extra thread clamping device will be comapratively close to the said thread guide..."
