"I, George Barker of 77 Colmore Row, Birmingham in the County of Warwick Consulting Engineer, do hereby declare the nature of this invention as communicated to me from abroad by William Thomas Vale of the City of Toronto in the County of York, in the Province of Ontario, Canada, Gentleman, and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement: My invention relates to certain improvements upon a machine fully described in Patent granted to Alfred Julius Boult as a communication from William Thomas Vale on the 5th October 1886 under No. 12638..."
