"Letters Patent to Gerard Wenzeslaus von Nawrocki Proprietor of the firm of J. Brandt & G. W. v Nawrocki, Patent Solicitor and Civil Engineer of 124 Leipsigerstrasse Berlin Germany...communication from Moritz Salomonson of Bielefeld in the Germany Republic....According to this invention a lint for dressing wounds is produced directly from the new flax fibre. For this purpose the flax after being dried is broken, winnowed and carded so as to be free from woody parts....".
