The item is new, sealed and in good condition considering the age of this relic!
The original VHS cover of Disney's The Little Mermaid was banned due to suggestive artwork with phallic imagery.
The controversial cover caused much controversy and Disney removed and replaced the VHS covers.
There were additional phallic controversies in The Little Mermaid, including an edited scene and rumors of intentional Easter eggs in Disney Movies. (See photo 10) The banned cover of The Little Mermaid for its initial VHS release in 1989 has a notorious legacy and is one of many occasions in which supposed adult imagery has made its way into family entertainment.
