Dear Crocheter,
One of our readers has recently sent us ot of her village chapel, asking whether our dee could create a pattern reproducing the church. At our suggestion, Glendola Hodges produced a design worthy of the assignment. You will find the excellent pattern in this issue of DECORATIVE CR0CHET.
There have also been many requests for religious designs, and so it seemed like a good idea to include six patterns representing symbols of faith in this same issue. They can be used as appliqués, with color-rich fabric for background. Or simply as they are, with beautiful waxed wood glowing through the openwork.
Fabulous filet, the stitch that “draws” pictures, was used for all the above projects, and for many more in this issue of DECORATIVE CROCHET Runners, curtains, cushions abound. The insertions criss-crossing our superb red tablecloth “tie up” the table like a pretty present.
Nor have we forgotten those of you who just can’t ever get their fill of round mats. Here you will find several patterns offering the most satisfaction for the least effort.
