tiny275 came into existence after my wife told me to get rid of my spare badges from my collection. I had been collecting British & Commonwealth cloth badges for some 25 years at that time and did indeed have many spares. Not knowing how to dispose of the badges my brother suggested eBay. Being in the Army and with the nickname 'Tiny' (being 6ft 3 tall this is an obvious nickname, but only to squaddies!) the eBay ID was a cinch. Little did I know it would spiral into the huge success it is today. I still sell some items on eBay but am transferring the bulk of my sales to eBid and know that the business will do even better here on the 'Dark Side'. Check my feedback (over 15,000 positives, 100% record) on the 'other side'. User ID remains the same for both sites. I am still an avid collector of British & Commonwealth cloth badges, especially WO1 Royal Arms (RSM) and Bomb Disposal insignia (ATO & Felix). This gives me the background to describe accurately the items I list without the addition of buzz words such as 'Rare, Special Forces' etc. I also run a Militaria Fairs business with my wife and with the surname Sargent the business name was simple and so SARGENT'S SURPLUS was born. Our shop here on eBid takes the business name and various subsidiaries all with the tag 'Sargent's' . SARGENT'S SURPLUS not only sell most things militaria but we also organise and run the very successful Militaria Fair at Scotch Corner in North Yorkshire. Our next fair will be on the 22nd February 2009 and we are looking forward to another successful year with many bookings for all 3 fairs already. At each fair we have approx 40 dealers (70 tables) selling a wide variety of Militaria, Arms, Medals, Uniforms etc, and tables always go very quickly. We have our own army tentage and attend many Wartime weekends and events in the North.
