I am yet a further escapee from another well-known auction site where the fees and charges are really unrealistic and out of control now.  I have sold items there for almost six years and had a 100% Feedback score of 1280 (November 2010) so I hope this will encourage you to please bid and buy with confidence.  I always try to describe items fully and to the best of my ability but if there should be any problem I would always ask the buyer to contact me before leaving any negative feedback as most difficulties can usually be worked out.

Following a fairly recent house move (down-sizing), I have really had to come to terms with the amount of items I have bought, been given or inherited over quite a lot of years and, due to shortage of space, many of them have had to be packed away in the loft.  This is obviously not the right place for them to be and over the next few months (or probably years!!) I will be gradually listing them for sale in the hope they will find a new home in which they can be appreciated again and perhaps be useful.

I am not a business trader but just an individual with a lot of items to sell and I will be opening various shops as and when I am able and will update these details as I go along.

I will be selling lots and lots of needlework items in one shop - cross stitch (in particular), tapestry, sewing, knitting, macrame etc.    These will be full kits, patterns, charts, books, magazines, threads and equipment.  I have (literally) hundreds of kits which I adore but would probably need to be on this world for another thousand years or so to get them all stitched!

Another shop will be concentrated on collectable items - Lilliput Lane cottages, Snow Babies, biscuit barrels, cigarette cards, postcards to name a few.

A further shop will be selling a variety of used, new or nearly new items of clothing - some on behalf of friends.

Certain items will also be offered for sale on behalf of my local Church who are collecting funds for the replacement of a damaged stained glass window.   Details of this will be given in each relevant auction and the full proceeds from any of these sales will be donated to the Church fund.

Payment options:  I prefer payment by Paypal but will accept postal orders (UK only). 
       All overseas buyers must pay by Paypal only.

Payment terms:  Please pay within 5 days of the end of the auction unless you have made other arrangements with myself beforehand.

P & P costs:  I always try to keep these to a minimum - actual posting costs with a small 15p charge towards packaging costs.  If you do not agree with this please do not bid on any item.   I do have to buy most of my envelopes/paper/sellotape/mailing bags/boxes/bubblewrap/wrapping tape etc and the cost is not insignificant.  I will also use recycled packaging wherever possible.  I will always combine p and p on multiple purchases (this is invariably cheaper) - providing the items can be packaged together.    It does occasionally happen that two items cannot safely be packaged together - for example a small delicate ornament and a medium sized flat sewing kit could only be safely packaged separately.  I would request that buyers of multiple items contact me BEFORE making any payment to request a combined invoice which would ensure the correct amount of p and p is charged.

I will often post within 1 working day of a cleared payment being received but, if not, items will be posted within 2 working days (unless I am on holiday of course!).  Please note that I will endeavour to post any items paid for on a Friday morning on that same day but, if I am unable to do so, the next posting day will be the following Monday.

All international parcels are sent by Air Mail Small Packets.  International purchases totalling over £25 GBP must pay the relevant additional charge for International Signed For mail.

Item lost in post:  I cannot be held responsible for any items lost in the post but will assist any buyer who may have this problem.  I always obtain Proof of Posting for every parcel sent.

Item damaged in post:  If any item should arrive damaged please keep all the packaging and contact me within 2 days.  Please take photographs if you possibly can as the Royal Mail may require proof of any damage claimed for.

Guarantees/Returns:  As a private individual only, I do not offer a guarantee or refund policy but I do want my buyers to be happy so, if there should be a problem, please get in touch as soon as possible.   In the event of a refund being made, this would cover the price paid for the item only but no refund can be made in respect of postage and packing.
