I sell NEW, HIGH QUALITY poi & flags made by 'Erik's Poi Toys' which are available in a wide variety of style & colour. I assemble the poi myself & guarantee the quality of all I sell. I also sell other juggling equipment. Through my love of poi, you can buy from me with the highest confidence. My name is Mike, a 33 year old lad, Yorkshire born & bred with a love of many things. Namely, playing with poi & making sure I'm in a good place! I also strum the strings of my guitar & pluck the strings of my bass on a fairly regular basis... I love Rock 'n' Roll & Swing music... I am in love! It is my aim to supply affordable yet high quality poi & flags to everyone from beginners & kids to the seasoned professional. I also aim to promote juggling & circus skills to people (especially the young ones) & encourage leaving the game consoles & chat rooms and take part in this interactive, skill developing, exersice giving, bundle of fun.I started playing with poi several years ago, partly to help with a shoulder problem and partly because it looked great fun & rather amazing. I soon learned that dancing with poi could be quite magical. I have since found a passion for poi I never really expected. A few years ago, after my good friend Erik started up the company 'Erik's Poi Toys' designing, making & wholesaling poi, I began assembling the poi for him & working on his poi stall at festivals throughout the country, giving demonstrations, workshops & selling the poi.
Over the last few of years, I have continued to assemble Erik's poi & now look after the festival side of things... Come & see us this year (Rainbow Dragon) at Priddy Folk Festival, The Glade, Play Festival, The Big Chill, Gaunts House & The Green Man.
It's through my enjoyment of poi that I sell on ebay & ebid, confident that as many people as possible should discover how wonderful playing with poi can be.As well as being a lovely thing for people to watch, poi are very satisfying to spin... When you get in the flow it just feels right. They're great to dance with & they vastly improve 'hand eye coordination' & 'spatial awareness'.If you have a back, arm, wrist or shoulder problem, playing with poi is first class physio, giving constant circular movement & building up strength. It's kinda like tai chi with extra motion... My shoulder problem has vastly reduced since taking up poi.But when it all comes down to the banana, they're just great fun!If you haven't tried learning poi, then I highly recommend giving it a spin.
