Some Information About abelabooks
Abela Publishing has been established as a Social Enterprise. By this we mean that we reprint old, forgotten and out of print books and donate 33% of our profits to charities. In the main we republish Children's Stories, Fairy Tales, Foklore, Myths and Legends from around the world.
Because we donate 33% of our profits to charity, we are not ashamed at the slightly higher prices of our books. I challenge anyone to look an underprivileged person in the eye and say to them they dont deserve the opportunity that the few pence, or cents, that the sale of one of our books may give them. This may be an opportunity of an education or the opportunity of a job or simply the opportunity to live another day.
