Some Information About ColorVerso

Giving you a little more insight into the seller.
My Auctions
I have a large collection of coins, banknotes and stamps, that I will be selling from, over the next year or so. I haven't evaluated the value of these items before, so new auction will appear one by one, here whenever I have had the chance to do the work of researching values, taking pictures and making descriptions of the items. Also, I will sell other items from my stash of things I don't need anymore.

Regarding prices and condition evaluations
I am not a numismatist/philatelist and i have not had my coins/banknotes/stamps professionally evaluated. My prices are based on what other people sell the items for, and on values from catalogs like NGCCoin.com, ATSNotes.com, AllWorldStamps.com and others. My (personal) evaluations of the condition of each single coin is based on the PR-FA-AG-G-VG-F-VF-XF-AU-UNC scale from NGCCoin and on the P-G-VG-F-VF-XF-AU-UN scale for banknotes from ATSNotes. But, I am not trained in this "science", so I will set no guarantees that I did a precise job. I am always open to discussions about the items' condition, rarity, origin, age, metal content etc, and about shipment methods and value/initial auction price.

Contacting me
If you have comments to or questions about my listings, packaging or shipping, feel free to do so, and I will get back to you as fast as possible. I speak English, Danish, and French, and can understand written Sweedish, Norwegian, German, Italian and Spanish, so you don't have to contact me in English. If you want any of the information I have provided here (or in one of the auctions) in a different language, do not hesitate to ask for it.

Packaging
- Feel free to contact me if you have special wishes about how the item you buy from me should be packed. If this involves buying materials for packing, I will usually charge the extra amount in shipping&handling
- If you do not contact me about special packaging, I will handle it as follows:
  • Banknotes will be packed between two pieces of standard issues white printing paper in between two pieces of cartboard in a standard size envelope. The cardboard will be only a bit smaller than the envelope, to ensure minimum shaking. If there is more than one banknote, they will be separated by standard issue white printing paper. My banknotes are kept unfolded and will be shipped as such.
  • Coins will be packed seperately, each in one folded soft cotton pad with scotch tape around. The cotton "packs" will be taped to a piece of cardboard and shipped in a standard envelope. The cardboard will be only a bit smaller than the envelope, to ensure minimum shaking.
  • Stamps will be packed in standard stamp plastic pockets between to pieces of carboard in a standard envelope.
Shipping
For (single or combined) items selling for less than 700 Kroner (~124$ / ~76£ / ~93€), I'll use standard Danish public mail service (unregistered = unrecorded) to all countries with quite secure mail service (*see below). Since I cannot trace unregistered mail service, the shipping is 100% at buyers risk and I do not refund in case of loss. Buyer can always ask for registered shipping at buyer's expence. For items listed at more than 700 Kroner I will always use registered mail service.

* To several countries I ship only registered: All African countries, Albania, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Iran, Lebanon, Macedonia, Mexico, Mongolia, Pakistan, Romania, Russia and all ex-USSR countries except the Baltic states, Ukraine, Vietnam, all South- and Central-American countries, plus any other country I add here later.

I offer shipment discounts for bulk/lots - I can pack items from several auctions together to lower shipment costs. Just contact me in due time, if you bought something and want me to hang on to that/those item(s) for a while, so it can be packed with other things you buy from me later. I will offer you your money back, within 14 days of you receiving the item(s), if you aren't satisfied. Return shipment at your expense.

Payment, PayPal, Google Checkout, PPPay and Escrow, and other alternatives
So far, I have done all transactions using PayPal. Other alternatives are, however, present and new ones are constantly on their way. I try to keep up to date as possibilities arise. Google Checkout is one of the more promising methods, but unfortunately it is still not possible to use it in Denmark.

PPPay is Ebid's own version of PayPal, and functions, as far is I can tell, just like PayPal, exept that PPPay has (at least seemingly) a bit lower transaction fees. You can pay me using PPPay - or if you would like to pay in a different way (like bank transfer or postal order for instance), feel free to suggest it, and I will try to help make it happen.

Escrow is announced as the next step in secure online sales. Here on Ebid this functions in collaboration with PPPay. Here is a general picture of how it works (for full details on Escrow, please go to their website):

The winning buyer of an auction transfers the money to PPPay Escrow who keeps the money until the buyer receives the item. The buyer then has 24 hours to inspect the item and reports its arrival to PPPay, who will then transfer the money to the seller. If the item doesn't arrive, the buyer will get his/her money back from PPPay. If the item is damaged, the buyer sends it back (at buyer's expense) and gets his/her auction money back.

Escrow charges the buyer a fee for this service, and Escrow demands that shipment is with insured Track & Trace mail sercive. For these reasons, I have chosen not to put Escrow up as a first choice option on my auctions, as insured shipping added to the final auction fee would then be very high compared to the price of the item, for most items. If you feel the need to use Escrow when doing business with me, I will of course comply as long as you are aware that the extra expenses will be your responsability. If you decide that want to use Escrow after you have won an auction where Escrow wasn't agreed beforehand, I will open the auction again as a private auction with Escrow payment available so that no one else can outbid you. I have, however, not yet tried an Escrow transaction, so please correct me if the information above is misunderstood and please bear over with me if what I have planed out doesn't work properly.

I hope you'll enjoy doing business with me
