Some Information About AlanChard
In my capacity as executor I have been selling off a large stamp collection, that job is now done and I'm concentrating of some coins and jewellery items from my father's estate. He dealt in coins and some jewellery, so there is a reasonable amount to dispose of.
General note on prices and bulk purchases
I want to dispose of everything that is listed, so if you make an offer for multiple lots I will always be interested because it saves me work.
Post and packing charges
These are not intended to make a profit - I refuse to bid on other people's auctions if the post cost is high, so I set post costs low and if you buy several items I'll weigh the final package to give you the best deal. In many cases there will be NO additional postage when several small items are sent together.
When you buy more than one item please wait for an invoice I will show a discount, this is the only way to handle postage discounts.
Feedback
You will find me with user name on another well-known auction site alan.chard with feedback of >700 100% positive. I am fed up with paying 10% commission on sales and other aspects of selling on that site, so I prefer to list here on eBid. Update 2025: That other site is moving to charge buyers a 'protection fee' so from a seller's point of view there is no point listing low-cost items because the buyer gets charged 75p + 4% so on a £1 item the buyer pays £1.79 but the seller still only receives £1.
