New to eBid as of April 2025. I am a long time (2005) private seller on the "other place" where I have 100% positive feedback. My userid is the same as that registered on eBid so you can verify this if you wish. In all that time I have never had a lost delivery. I prefer Royal Mail for sending sold items and rarely use other couriers.

Most of what I list is left over from an obsolete auto-electrical parts business I sold in 1988. Several large boxes of mainly generator and starter motor brush sets which the purchaser didn't want. I also have a significant quantity of original Lucas parts documentation and occasionally I will list a few non-motoring items when time permits.

Posting by default is Royal Mail 48 hour tracked for the UK and Royal Mail International tracked for overseas. (As it is harder to estimate some overseas mailing prices prior to arriving at the Post Office counter there might be an occasional, apparent overcharge. I will always refund this.) I usually dispatch the same or next day from receipt of payment but less often will be two days. My returns policy is simple: for faulty or incorrectly described items I will refund in full. If you have simply changed your mind I will take items back but the buyer bears the outward and return postage costs. I work to a 21 days limit for returns but it's not strict; as a classic car enthusiast I well understand about buying in rare parts for future use. That said, I've never had any item returned!

Finally, in case you wonder why I am moving my listings to eBid, it is because the "other place" introduced a new delivery process for non-business sellers on April 15th 2025 that is incompatible with my circumstances and would make selling on their platform more trouble than it's worth.
