Original French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1967 Jean-Gabriel Albicocco Romantic Drama THE WANDERER (LE GRAND MEAULNES), based on the novel by Alain-Fournier and starring Brigitte Fossey, Jean Blaise, Alain Libolt, Alain Noury, Juliette Villard and Christian De Tiliere.

In the small town of Sainte-Agathe in the French region of Sologne, at the turn of the century, the young Augustin Meaulnes falls deeply in love with Yvonne De Galais, a beautiful and mysterious girl whom he meets at a strange house party. When she disappears, he searches for her and his lost adolescence.

Poster art by Jean Mascii. Mascii was one of the most prolific French film poster artists of the second half of the 20th century creating over 2,000. He was born in Italy in 1926 his family then settled in France in 1932. He began work designing cinema facades and designed his first film poster for La Dame D'Onze Heures starring Paul Meurisse in 1947. He died in Paris in 2003.
