Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1973 George Roy Hill Crime Comedy THE STING starring Paul Newman, Robert Redford, Robert Shaw, Charles Durning, Ray Walston, Eileen Brennan, Harold Gould and Jack Kehoe.
Set in the 1930s this intricate caper deals with an ambitious small-time crook and a veteran con man who seek revenge on a vicious crime lord who murdered one of their gang.
Poster art by Richard Amsel (1947 - 1985). An American illustrator and graphic designer. His career was prolific, including movie posters, album covers, and magazine covers.
Poster design by Bill Gold (1921 - 2018). An American graphic designer best known for thousands of film poster designs. Gold worked with many leading directors, including Vincente Minnelli, John Ford, Clint Eastwood and John Huston.
The poster is in very good folded condition with a couple of nicks in the top edge.
