(Rare) Solid sterling silver communion paten with pierced Maltese cross decoration to handles.

Fully Hallmarked for (provincial) Chester, date letter M circa 1937.

Measures 25.7cm handle to handle, 15cm in width and stands 1cm in depth.

Weigh's 224grams of solid silver.

Lovely and extremely rare in modern times this fabulous provincial ecclesiastic solid sterling silver paten tray with pierced design Maltese cross decoration and a dedication to the rear outer edge. Does come with a few signs of use that’s commensurate of age that does not detract from the aesthetic's or function. Art Deco period paten that would be great for any congregation or collectors of religious silverware. Would also make a lovely gift or why not spoil yourself with this great piece of solid sterling silver, communion paten tray or platter.
