Original 1958 Russian 24 3/4 inch x 40 1/4 inch Poster for the 1956 Vittorio De Sica Drama THE ROOF (IL TETTO), written by Cesare Zavattini and starring Gabriella Pallotta, Girogio Listuzzi, Gastone Renzelli, Maria Di Rollo and Maria Di Fiori.
A married couple learns that it is possible to build an illegal house in the outskirts of Rome, as long as it is erected in one single night and has a roof.
Poster art by Sergey Ignatievich Datskevich (1919 - 1977). A graduate of Art Schools in Kiev and Kharkov, Datskevich began designing posters in 1949.
The poster is in good to very good folded condition.
