Evans gives an outstanding, extravagant performance as the elderly Russian countess who knows the secret of winning at cards. A remarkable scary film with great visual style thanks to Oliver Messel’s baroque sets and Otto Heller’s photography.
The still is in very good condition with a synopsis tacked to the reverse.
