Seller's Description

Original U.S. 81 inch x 81 inch 6-Sheet Poster for the 1955 Robert Parrish World War II Drama THE PURPLE PLAIN, based on the novel by H.E. Bates, with a screenplay by Eric Ambler and starring Gregory Peck, Win Min Than, Brenda De Banzie, Bernard Lee, Maurice Denham, Lyndon Brook, Ram Gopal and Anthony Bushell.

In WW2 Burma, a Canadian bomber pilot becomes reckless after losing his bride in a Luftwaffe air-raid.

The poster is in good folded condition in 4 separate sheets. There is some darkening on the back of the sheet that was on the outside when it was fully folded. There is some tearing and a piece out of the top edge and a Canadian censor stamp in the same area. There is a hole in Peck’s shoulder.
