This is the first leaflet disseminated by the British government during World War II.

‘During the hours of darkness on September 3, Whitley bombers strewed northwestern German towns with six million leaflets in which was a Warning (‘Warning’) to the German people of the dangers and defeat they were bringing upon themselves’ (R.G. Auckland in The Falling Leaflet. Aerial Propaganda 1914-1968, p. 5).

Previously folded in half; the paper in the upper margin is abraded, possibly due to prior mounting. There is light edge wear and some marking.
