Seller's Description
Detailed Condtion : This is an original WOODEN 'AXE' prop from the movie, 'EXCALIBUR' (1981) and is now some 43 years old. It's in pretty good condition but how a few chips here and there to the black paint but is generally in very good condition. The metal piece at the corner of the axe head is son that it could be screwed in position on set and not be accidentally moved in between takes. Please see the photos.

Hello, in terms of provenance I'm afraid that I have none. I am the Managing Director of the horror film distributor, Salvation Films, and around 2008 we acquired a number of props from a film museum that was having a clearout due to space issues. The props we acquired included this 'mummy', a coffin from the Buffy the Vampire movie, also made in 1992, and an axe from Excalibur (1981).
The axe is just under 4 foot in length and the axe head is made of wood.
I have absolutely no reason to believe that these aren't genuine and offer them in good faith.
I can arrange delivery or the buyer can arrange collection whichever option is easiest and cheapest.
