Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1965 Basil Dearden Adventure MASQUERADE, based on the novel “Castle Minerva” by Victor Canning and starring Cliff Robertson, Jack Hawkins, Marisa Mell, Michel Piccoli, Charles Gray, Bill Fraser, John Le Mesurier, Felix Aylmer and Tutte Lemkow.
An Arab heir plots his own kidnapping in a desperate bid for peace in the Middle East.
Poster art by Jean Mascii. Mascii was one of the most prolific French film poster artists of the second half of the 20th century creating over 2,000. He was born in Italy in 1926 his family then settled in France in 1932. He began work designing cinema facades and designed his first film poster for La Dame D'Onze Heures starring Paul Meurisse in 1947. He died in Paris in 2003.
The poster is in very good folded condition with minor creasing.
