Original 1956 Polish 22 3/4 inch x 33 inch Poster for the 1955 Gianni Franciolini Romantic Comedy THE LADIES OF 04 (LE SIGNORINE DELLO 04) starring Giovanna Ralli, Antonella Lualdi, Franca Valeri, Marisa Merlini, Giulia Rubini, Sergio Raimondi, Peppino De Filippo, Aldo Giuffrè, Roberto Risso, Antonio Cifariello and Tina Pica.

The lives, times and loves of five Italian telephone operators. One is betrayed by her husband, one helps a student who wants to take his life, another changes her boy-friend every other day, one is a single mother and the last one tries to inflame a recently widowed accountant.

Poster art by Roman Cieslewicz (1930 - 1996). Roman Cieslewicz studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in his home town of Lvov from 1943 to 1945 and the Academy of Fine Arts in Crakow from 1949 to 1954. Originally influenced by Henryk Tomaszewski, his work revealed Expressionist tendencies prior to his emigration to France. He has since been recognised as one of the world’s foremost commercial artists.

The poster is in very good condition. The poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.
