Original 1940s Re-Release French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1934 Jean Vigo Drama L’ATALANTE (LE CHALAND QUI PASSE) starring Michel Simon, Dita Parlo, Jean Daste, Gilles Margaritis and Louis Lefebvre.
Jean (Jean Dasté), a barge captain, marries Juliette (Dita Parlo), an innocent country girl, and the two climb aboard Jean’s boat, the L’Atalante—otherwise populated by an earthy first mate (Michel Simon) and a multitude of mangy cats—and embark on their new life together.
The poster was in very good condition and has been linen-backed.
