Hollywood Sign Souvenir Spoon Crest Collectors World 4-1/4" long
I acquired this spoon from an estate sale.
The crest on the top on this spoon says "Hollywood" and has a picture of the Hollywood sign as it is seen situated on Mount Lee in the Hollywood Hills.
The crest looks to be fairly old. I have no guess to its age. The spoon bowl has a lovely scalloped edge.
The rear of the spoon is stamped "Collectors World" and "Made in New Zealand".
The spoon measures 4-3/1 inches (11 cm) long X 1 inch (2.4 cm) wide (At the widest part of the spoon bowl) and weighs 15 gr.
The spoon is in fair condition with light surface scratches and light tarnish. (See pictures).

Hollywood Sign:
The Hollywood Sign (formerly known as the Hollywoodland Sign) is a landmark and American cultural icon located in Los Angeles, California. It is situated on Mount Lee in the Hollywood Hills area of the Santa Monica Mountains. The sign overlooks the Hollywood district of Los Angeles.
"HOLLYWOOD" is spelled out in 45-foot-tall (14 m) white capital letters, and is 350 feet (110 m) long. It was originally created in 1923 as an advertisement for a local real estate development, but it garnered increasing recognition after the sign was left up. The sign was a frequent target of pranks and vandalism, but it has since undergone restoration, including the installation of a security system to deter vandalism. The sign is protected and promoted by the Hollywood Sign Trust, a nonprofit organization.
From the ground, the contours of the hills give the sign its "wavy" appearance, as reflected in the Hollywood Video logo, for example. When observed at a comparable altitude, as in the photo shown on the right, the letters appear nearly level.
The sign makes frequent appearances in popular culture, particularly in establishing shots for films and television programs set in or around Hollywood. Signs of similar style, but spelling different words, are frequently seen as parodies.
