Henry II "Tealby" Cut Half Penny. Uncertain mint [Lincoln, Newcastle?] (S 1337-42) [Silver, approx. 21mm across widest point - 0.6g]
O. hE(N)RI R(EX ANG?).
R. NE(?) around portion of short cross, with a cross in each angle.
Dark tone; portrait area flat; some corrosion and deposits, but a well struck Reverse; a reasonable budget piece. SPINK 2023:- £125 - £160 in Fine, for a similar whole example. Many of these pieces are poorly struck on irregular flans, but this example is much neater.
