• Comments: The GWR or Great Western Railway franchise (not to be confused with the 1833-1947 company with the same name) formed originally as “Great Western Trains” after the break up of British Rail. It went through several interations/ownership and became known as GWR in 2015. Like the original GWR it operates overt the SW/W of England and S.Wales. This leaflet contains a 2FOR1 leaflet offering a 1/3 off rail fares to the numerous attractions given inside the booklet and 2 for 1 entry prices at many of the venues described inside. The venues described in this leaflet became a rarity 3 months after the closing date  of the offer, when the UK went into COVID-19 lockdown. Many did not re-open or had very limited capacity due to social distancing. Rail passenger numbers dropped considerably after this.  So this leaflet reflects happier times on the railways.
