Seller's Description

Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1963 Arthur Hiller Wartime Drama THE FLIGHT OF THE WHITE STALLIONS, based on the book by Alois Podhajsky and starring Robert Taylor, Lilli Palmer, Curt Jurgens, Eddie Albert, James Franciscus, John Larch and Philip Abbott.

In Vienna during World War II, the Allies secretly rescue the famous Lippizaner dancing horses from the hands of the Nazis.

The poster artwork is by A. “Jock” W. Hinchliffe.
Hinchliffe was born in Perth, Scotland. In 1953 he had a studio in Chalk Farm, North London, where he produced a series of six oil paintings as publicity for 20th Century Fox’s “The Robe”. He had been engaged by Fox in 1926 and produced posters and ads continuously for them, and for Disney, well into the 1960s.

The poster is in very good folded condition with slight wear down the right edge.
