Original French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for thethe 1975 Patrice Chéreau Thriller FLESH OF THE ORCHID (CHAIR DE L’ORCHIDEE), based on the novel by James Hadley Chase and starring Charlotte Rampling, Bruno Cremer, Edwige Feuillère, Simone Signoret and Alida Valli.
Rampling is Claire, a runaway heiress and it’s the asylum she is running away from. Taking up with big and bulky Louis (Cremer) from the wrong side of the tracks, he offers love and warmth, but is Claire too perverse to accept emotion on it own terms?
Poster art by Rene Ferracci (1927 -1982). A French artistic director and poster designer. He is, with Clément Hurel, Boris Grinsson, Michel Landi and Jean Mascii, one of the most prolific creators of cinema posters in France in the second half of the 20th century.
The poster is in fine folded condition.
