British Standards BS5839 recommends that all manual call points placed in vulnerable areas and prone to false activation should now be protected.
Designed for the use in high traffic areas where false alarms may exist from accidental activation of the call point and also prevents malicious operation as there is no excuse if it is operated! Provides a hinged cover that protects the call point, while still giving the user the accessibility to operate when needed.
This manual break glass call point hinge cover flap is designed to fit the KAC range of call points who also manufacture for the majority of quality fire & safety companies, e.g.: ADT, Apollo, Bardic, Clymac, Chubb, Emergi-Lite, Electro-Detectors (EDA), EMS, Hochiki, JSB, KAC, Menvier, Newlec, Nittan, Notifier, Protec, System Sensor, Ziton, ESP SCP-2R etc. (ESP call points may require a couple of 3.2mm holes drilling for it to fit if the call point is not pre-drilled as shown in picture 7, 8, 9 & 10 show it fitted)
It will also fit the older flat fronted style KAC call point types (Shown in picture 11) but does not sit exactly flush as this modern version has a slight curve to it, you have to know to notice really so it does the job and gets you out of a fix as the older covers are not easily obtainable as they are obsolete like the call points.
