A genuine Distinguished Conduct Medal and Military Medal correctly named to 2662 SJT H SCHULTZ 1/LN LANC R. Herman Schultz was killed in action on the 14th November 1917 and was serving in the 1st Loyal North Lancashire Regiment . He was born in Liverpool. Commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial.DCM Gazetted 11/5/1917 For Conspicuous Gallantry and devotion on a raid into enemy trenches (Barleux Quarry Somme) he led his party in a gallant manner and put an enemy machine gun out of action. MM Gazetted 14/9/1916. (Ref NM 60) I do not post at weekends or bank holidays.
