Addressed to Mrs Adams Cwm Barry Cottage Nr Cardiff
Cwm Barry (Barri) Cottage was built in Porthkerry Barry in c1845.
It was a large, gabled structure and was the home of the estate
forester and his family.
In the year 1891 Mr W Winifred Adams was the Forester and he
lived in the cottage with his wife Gwennie Adams and daughter
Caroline Adams
The Cottage was demolished in 1972 and all that remains now
is a low boundary wall.
Fruit trees from the cottage garden can still be found within
Cwm Barry Wood
I have other QV Covers which show that both Mr and Mrs
Adams past away and Caroline moved house to number
3 Charles Place on the Parade in Barry
A rare item
