This is a Antique Fenton Butterflies Amethyst Carnival Glass Card Tray Holder, this is a wonderful Amethyst Butterfly Card Tray, so nice toi think back in the early 1900's when people would come calling and leave their card in the card tray. This piece is bold and beautiful and probably the best one I've seen in a long time. This is also a Horlacher Beer advertising Piece, so it will make to be a great conversation piece. It has no chips, cracks or breaks, comes from a smoke free animal free home.

FENTON CARNIVAL GLASS CO. - The original factory was in an old glass factory in Martins Ferry, Ohio in 1905. Thye factory at one time was owned by the former west Virginia Glass Co. At first they painted glass blanks from other glass makers, but started making their own glass when they became unable to buy the materials they needed. In 1907, Fenton introduced "Iridescent" glass. This glass, known as "Carnival Glass", is a popular collectible today. During the 1930's and 1940's, Fenton produced practical items, such as mixing bowls and tableware to get through the depression and WWII shortages.
