Seller's Description

Easy to use, the operation instruction on the face of tester Connectors: HDD, CDROM, SATA, 4PIN(P4), 8PIN, 6PIN.

Instructions

1. Turn on the power supply at its primary switch.

2. Connect your 24 Pin power supplier to the Mini tester

3. Check to see if the LED Lights are on or off (+5v +12v +3.3v -5v -12v +5vsb.pg).

* It is normal for most modern PSUs to not light up the -5V on the right hand side.
** Keep the 24 Pin adapter Connected for all tests.

4. Plug in the HDD connectors one by one and ensure they light up the +12V and +5V.

5. Remove the HDD Molex connectors and begin testing the PV, P6 and and P8 connections (these are your additional CPU power and graphics). These connections should light up the +12V lights.
* Testing your PCI express power requires only the first 6 pins are tested, make sure you use the 6P to do this.

6. remove all P4, P6 and P8 cables and leave the 24 pin connector attached and then connect the floppy cables, you should see a +12v or +5v light.

* You may not have a floppy cable in your machine, however if you do, ensure you test it even if you do not have a floppy connected as it may well reveal damage to a power rail.

7. Remove the floppy connector and begin testing your SATA connectors, these should light up +12V, +5V and +3.3v

If all these tests pass, your power supply is currently operating inside of normal parameters.
