I bought this on a recent trip to Whitehorse, Yukon and never used it.

This Postcard is of 5 Dredge #4 and tailing piles left by the 3 dredges numbers 2, 3 and 4.

This Postcard is new and has never been mailed.

It measures 5-7/8 X 4 inches.

This postcard is in excellent condition.

The rear reads:

DAWSON CITY, YUKON

The Klondike River Valley, located just south of Dawson City, Yukon, is a mass of gravel tailing piles left by gigantic dredges that tore the river bottom down to bedrock in search of gold. Between 1913 and 1940, three dredges, #2,#3, and #4, removed almost $13 million worth of gold (at $20,67 per ounce) from the area. Dredge No.4 is now located on Bonanza Creek and is being restored by National Historic Sites.
